Junior Witter will make the second defence of his WBC light-welterweight crown against mandatory challenger Vivian Harris at the St.George’s concert hall in Bradford on September 7. The Bradford switch-hitter claimed the vacant title by outpointing DeMarcus Corley last September and has since made one defence, stopping Mexico’s Arturo Morua in January.
Former WBA champion Harris sealed his crack with a hard-fought points victory over Juan Lazcano in a WBC title eliminator. Hennessy Sports will promote the contest which is expected by televised live on SKY.
