Calzaghe and Hopkins need each other to cement their legacies

With 41 world title defences between them and just four defeats (all Hopkins) in a combined total of 98 fights, arguably Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins have nothing left to prove.

However, whilst Hopkins’ and Calzaghe’s outstanding career achievements will ensure their places in the history books, both veterans’ legacies will be shaped for different reasons following the outcome of their light-heavyweight clash at the Thomas and Mack Centre in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
