Khan could spark TV scramble

Amir Khan’s enthralling battle with Michael Gomez at the weekend could spark a last-minute scramble from TV executives who may see Khan’s future fights as sure-fire ratings winners. Promoter Frank Warren, who is believed to have agreed a new promotional deal with Khan, is expected to reveal in the next few days the identity of the broadcaster that will screen Khan’s next series of fights, starting with Khan’s 19th pro outing on September 6th at Manchester’s M.E.N Arena.

The bill will also feature Alex Arthur defending his WBO super-featherweight crown. Opponents for both men will be confirmed in due course.
