John Murray underlined his growing promise and maturity by systematically grinding down slippery Scot Lee McAllister in eight rounds to retain his British lightweight title in front of a passionate crowd in Wigan on Saturday night. It was the 24-year-old Manchester man’s 26th consecutive win and 14th inside the distance.
